SCHOOL OF THOUGHT NI / STRABANE

Every child deserves to feel capable.

Reading, spelling and Maths don't come easily to every learner. At School of Thought NI, we offer literacy, numeracy and educational support shaped around the individual child — from our learning centre in Strabane.

A GOOD PLACE TO BEGIN

You don't need to know all the answers to ask for support.

Perhaps reading is taking longer than expected. Perhaps Maths has knocked their confidence. Or perhaps you're trying to make sense of what support would help at school.

You can start by telling us what's happening — in your own words.

No perfect explanation needed. Just a starting point.

LEARNING SUPPORT

Support for the things that can feel hardest.

Every learner begins somewhere different. These are some of the areas School of Thought NI talks about and supports. If you're unsure which fits, contact the team.

LITERACY

Reading, spelling & writing

Literacy support that pays attention to sounds, word patterns, comprehension and written language — with a focus on making learning understandable.

NUMERACY

Maths & numeracy

Help with core number skills, Maths concepts and the confidence to work through what a question is really asking.

NEXT STEPS

Exams & school transitions

School of Thought NI has shared support around SEAG, GCSE English and moving towards secondary school. Ask the team which programmes are currently running.

FAMILY SUPPORT

Advice for parents & carers

When you're not sure where to start with learning or school-related concerns, begin with a conversation about the options.

OUR APPROACH

Sometimes the breakthrough begins with seeing the pattern.

On its social channels, School of Thought NI shares practical ways to look at words: how sounds and letters work together, why patterns matter and how understanding can replace guesswork.

It's one glimpse of the thought behind the support.

Small moments of care can make learning feel different.
A REAL PLACE IN STRABANE

Meet Megan, and the space behind School of Thought NI.

Megan McMenamin founded School of Thought NI to support children and young people through learning challenges. The centre at 19 Upper Main Street in Strabane offers families a local place to start a conversation about literacy, numeracy and individual learning needs.
